Academy Award winner Tatum O’Neal walks to the set of her latest movie “Sweet Lorraine” filming in New York City. Tatum will play “a former queen of the New York underground scene who, after moving to small-town New Jersey, gets caught up in local politics when her ex-lover becomes the mayor.”

Back in the day in the seventies Buzz Foto was photographing the stars with film. Yes hard to believe it, but yes it is true. We had to have two cameras with us at all times. One for color and the other for black and white. Shooting color was always a very expensive proposition and it took at least one day to get the film processed. We were then faced with making duplicate slides and expensive prints. Then we had the taske of mailing or air freighting our photos to our magazine and newspaper clients in over thirty countries. Keep in mind that this was way before the days of FedEx. The good part is that there was practically zero competition and no one in the industry knew anything about photo syndication and could not fathom that you could make money with your photos in Europe, Australia and Japan. We of course were on our own mission.

Tatum O’Neal: Troubles and Triumphs

Tatum O’Neal’s family are no stranger to trouble. Tatum’s father Ryan O’Neal and his 23-year-old son Redmond were arrested at the O’Neal family home in Malibu on September 17, 2008 after Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies found Redmond in possession of methamphetamine and another vial of the drug in Ryan’s bedroom. The two had been charged with similar charges in California the year before and have had a long history of drug use. Tatum herself was arrested for crack possession in New York.

In spite of her troubles, we’d like to shed light on the fact of something positive. And since Oscar Season is coming up, we’ll share this fact with you: Did you know that Tatum was the youngest Oscar winner of all time? She won the coveted award at just 10 years old! She’s also an Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning American actress with lots of good work, mostly from the 70′s. Sometimes Tatum gets a bad rap, but she’s really very talented!

We snapped Tatum as she walked her trusty canine sponsor around the Lower East Side on a bitter cold Super Bowl Weekend in New York City, New York. Tatum has a recurring role on FX’s series “Rescue Me.” We wish her well!

Tatum is a Bit Shy

Tatum O’Neal kept her life on the down-low while taking her new Scottish Terrier for a walk yesterday in New York City, New York. Tatum did not feel like being photographed, and we guess we don’t blame her – there’s been a lot of drama in her life, lately. Her father Ryan O’Neal and brother Redmond O’Neal were recently arrested on suspicion of drug possession, and Tatum O’Neal herself was also recently arrested for buying crack and cocaine, which she later blamed on the suffering over the death of her 16-year-old Scottish Terrier. Looks like she’s helping mend the pain with a new pooch, and that’s a good thing.

Good Fotos Never Lose Their Relevance!

Here is a great foto that our Brad Elterman took at a 1980 at a Rolling stones concert backstage. That is Farrah Fawcett, Ryan, Griffin and Tatum O’Neal. They all posed for Brad because he asked first! Ryan said years later after seeing this photo that this was the happiest period of his life. This foto is currently appearing in this week’s People Magazine and that is the why photographers should never give up their copyright!

This foto has significance because of all the trouble Tatum O’Neal has been in lately. Tatum has recently alleged that her father Ryan exposed Tatum to his celebrity bachelor lifestyle at a young age. She has made claims in her autobiography that when she was only 13, her father took her and her friend Melanie Griffith on a trip to Europe, where she caught him having sex with Griffith in their hotel room. She also claims that when her father left for a movie shoot, she smoked opium with Griffith and then invited a male hairdresser and his girlfriend to their hotel room where the four of them participated in an orgy that Griffith had dragged her into.

Tatum O’Neal Then and Now

Tatum O’Neal has had her share of rocky roads. Since pleading guilty to disorderly conduct in connection with possessing cocaine in July of 2008, Tatum now is facing down her charges this month in court. We knew Tatum way back when in 1980 when she was 17 years old. She had already had a stint or two in rehab. Since that time she’s been into almost every sort of trouble (she even dated Michael Jackson, ew!) Here she is with Farrah Fawcette, Ryan O’Neal, and Griffin O’Neal back stage at a Rolling Stones concert 1980. (Her family has had their share of problems too!) We also have a pic of Tatum at the Stardust Premiere in 2007 to show how much she’s grown. Hopefully, she’s grown up in mind and behavior and not just in body. We’ll see how this month goes and if she can own up to her past and finally put it behind her.
