The 40-year-old actor tweeted on Friday about his milestone and thanked his family and friends for their unwavering support, reported Us magazine.

“Today marks 1 year of sobriety for me. I thank God for the strength and guidance and my family and friends for their love and support & I [thank you],” Arquette wrote.

Splitting from wife of 11 years Courteney Cox in October 2010, Arquette, father of Coco, 7, checked into rehab on January 2, 2011 after months of erratic behavior.

Seeking treatment for “alcohol and other issues,” the ”Scream” star later opened up to Oprah Winfrey about his drug-riddled past.

“When I had my first drink of beer, I must have been four-years-old,” he told Winfrey in February, adding that he also recalls stealing pot from his father at age 8.

“I was down in the basement with my dad and beer was there and I just grabbed it and drank it. And I remember that.
It”s one of my earliest memories.”
Now clean and sober, Arquette reasons that “life is beautiful.”

Foo Fighters have released the details of their eagerly anticipated seventh studio album, which will be released on April 12th.

Entitled ‘Wasting Light‘, the record will contain eleven new tracks, including ‘White Limo‘ for which a video featuring Motorhead legend Lemmy was released yesterday (Feb 14th).

The album has been described by frontman Dave Grohl as the band’s heaviest to date, and has gained headlines due to Grohl’s reunion with his former Nirvana producer Butch Vig, as well as a cameo by ex-Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic.

Carla Gugino slips into porn star lingerie once again to star in “Women in Trouble” sequel, “Elektra Luxx”, which is now previewed in a trailer debuted via Apple. She still portrays the title character who is now pregnant with the child of late rock star Nick Chapel and trying to make ends meet by teaching a community college sex education class aimed at housewives.

Later a figure from her past, flight attendant Cora, approaches her with a proposition. In exchange for the (stolen) lyrics to Chapel’s last record, all of which is about Elektra, Cora needs Elektra to seduce her fiancee. Elektra reluctantly agrees to do this favor, setting in motion a series of hilarious events which will see her come face to face with detectives, sex bloggers, emotionally unstable neighbors and the Virgin Mary herself.

The film has an all-star cast consisting of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Malin Akerman, Timothy Olyphant, Adrianne Palicki and Emmanuelle Chriqui. Sebastian Gutierrez who directed 2009 “Women in Trouble” returns to the helming seat for the sequel, which will be released on March 11 in the U.S.

Sharon Stone took some precious mother/son time to have dinner with her son Roan and his friends at a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant in Beverly Hills. Roan and his friend were quite the handful for Sharon! Roan stuck his tongue out at one of the other children then the other child kicked Roan’s leg. Roan grabbed his leg in pain, but laughed it off. Sharon also took a knee on the public sidewalk to try and talk the children into behaving themselves. The children listened to Sharon’s request and they all walked to Sharon’s parked car laughing together. Sharon also blew her nose and made funny faces while having dinner at the restaurant. She might be able to costar with some of Hollywood’s most talented, but taking kids out for dinner is a different story!

American singer, actress and doll designer Marie Osmond visits WCBS-FM 101.1 in New York City. Marie is in town for her newest show “Donny & Marie: A Broadway Christmas.”

Forget Radio City, “Elf” and the annual office bash. The Christmas party of the season is being thrown by Donny and Marie Osmond at the Marquis Theatre.

“Donny & Marie: A Broadway Christmas” marks the showbiz veterans’ first time together on the Great White Way, where she has headlined “The King and I” and he has starred in “Beauty and the Beast.”

This is no staid, sentimental evening of carols and hymns. It’s a rousing, Red Bull-fueled show that wraps Yuletide ditties around hit songs (theirs and others’) and career memories (seen in various video clips) like a big red bow.

It’s much like the TV variety show that made them teen phenoms in the ’70s, complete with trademark teasing (his win and her third-place finish on “Dancing With the Stars” gets major play), solo sections and numbers together with a crew of backup dancers.

Is the show a little bit Vegas flashy? You bet – and that’s not lost on the sibs, who have been sharing a Sin City stage the past two years. Is the choreography, along with the costumes and Marie’s bangs, a little jacked up? Oh, yeah. That’s half the fun.

The other half is that both stars seem to love what they’re doing. They’re in good voice, deliver 110% percent and, with over nine decades of experience between them, know how to work an audience. Offstage, that finds Donny perching on ladies’ laps and Marie smooching bald men’s heads. (For the record – yes, I left with a lipstick-stained noggin.)

Onstage, Marie, 51, prowls around in soaring heels and sparkly dresses, but it’s when she opens her mouth that she really shines. She brings colorful shadings to “Paper Roses” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” which she recalls singing during a USO tour with Bob Hope. A frantic Broadway medley and overstaged “Pie Jesu” – sung in honor of her late son – could both be toned down.

Donny, 53, spends his time in the spotlight mocking his pinup pop idol image, while winking that he’s still got it as he croons “Puppy Love” and “Go Away Little Girl.” He sounds terrific on a Christmas song about New York City and showed that he can still rock out, with help from the eight-piece band, on “Crazy Horses,” a song his brothers wrote for a show in Paris in the ’70s.

Having worked together for more than 45 years, Donny and Marie have an appealing chemistry that makes you feel at home – laughing with them and even sometimes at them. What more could you ask of your holiday hosts?

She said: ‘A cat jumped on me the other week. They scare me. It hissed and scratched my legs – I didn’t know what to do! So I got up and shook my leg, but she was stuck to it. It was an evil cat. I don’t like evil cats.’
The singer has made no secret of her love for animals and is a keen horse rider but it seems that cats are the animals that the star, who won The X Factor in 2006, just can’t stand.

Ellen made fun of her strong Spanish accent and brought out some fresh ground Colombian coffee to make her feel at home.

Proving she’s a good sport, Vergara obligingly repeated bizarre phrases Ellen instructed her to say, as well as badly attempting a Texan accent and galloping around like a horse.

She pretended to laugh and cry uncontrollably to practice for her character in an imaginary new film, which Ellen dubiously titled ‘When Dogs Are Running And Horses Are Silent’.

As the prank went on, Vergara struggled to make sense of her instructions and resorted to over-the-top wailing.

Christina Ricci has admitted she will be hiding her nerves when she makes her Broadway debut.

The actress stars in Donald Margulies’ Time Stands Still, opposite Laura Linney, Brian D’Arcy James and Eric Bogosian.

“I always was really, really, really against doing anything in front of a live audience,” she said. “I’ve always had stage fright. I don’t like speaking in front of people. I don’t like to present at awards shows – that to me was always the scariest thing ever. So the idea of doing a play for years was just like, ‘Are you kidding?’”

But she went on: “It’s an incredible experience. It’s totally different than anything I’ve ever done. It’s sort of fascinating the things that happen when you’re out there. It’s kind of like being on a really long first date – with somebody you really like.”

The four-person play debuted on Broadway in the spring and then took a summer hiatus. Christina, who is scheduled to hit the stage eight times a week into January, takes over the part of Mandy Bloom from Alicia Silverstone.

Though Christina is friendly with the Clueless star, the two have never discussed the role – and Christina never saw Alicia in the initial run.

“I’m not fighting any preconceptions or, ‘Oh, this is how it was done.’ I don’t have to fight any of that stuff,” she said. “It could really make you make really stupid choices.”

Actor Macaulay Culkin (who still looks like he’s a ten year old Kevin McCallister. He’s actually 30!), strolled through Soho with some major fashion statements yesterday. Macaulay sported some red nail polish on his left thumb (is that some new, secret hipster lingo we’re not aware of?) and a t-shirt that screams “Touch My Awesome Button” with a lightning bolt pointing at his crotch. We’ll give him this, he’s nothing if not classy…….

Our little Sagittarius girl got the last laugh on Mayer. Lets hope her new song is a number one hit and this song is a warning for Kim Kardashian to dump John Mayer immediately.
