The girl does not look 50! Cherie Currie is a good friend of our Buzz Foto’s Brad Elterman, fresh off a flight from Tokyo, and he was there to help her celebrate her 50th Birthday at Platinum Live in Studio City. Dakota Fanning and Riley Keough the co stars of the new Runaways movie were there too. Happy Birthday Cherie!

Seventies Pop Culture

Last night there was a tribute concert for The Runaways at The Roxy in West Hollywood. Everyone came out of the woodwork for this one. Friends we had not seen in ages including Mike and Mario from the Rainbow Bar & Grill, the legendary producer Kim Fowley, Cherie and Marie Currie, Robert Hayes, Jake and our very own David Aguilera and Brad Elterman! The Bangles performed and Cherie did an incredible closing performance with Cherie Bomb. Enjoy the photos.

Buzz Foto Iconic: Cherie Currie Teenage!

Everyone is talking about Kristen Stewart from Twilight playing Joan Jett in the new movie about The Runaways. The story is about Joan Jett and lead singer Cherie Currie being discovered by legendary producer, Kim Fowley on the Sunset Strip. The film is going to be a giant hit worldwide and it will make all girl rock bands in vogue once again.
