The sweeping, epic film Gone With the Wind was full of drama and has become a historical piece of art in cinema, but new allegations of its main star, actress Vivien Leigh suggest there was even more real life drama behind the scenes. A shocking new report from the New York post claims that Vivien Leigh (Scarlett O’Hara) was not only bisexual, but suffered from mental illness and frequented an LA brothel disguised as a gas station.
According to the Post, a publishing source told the newspaper, “In the 1940s, the world’s most recognizable star would drive down to Scotty’s with her friend George Cukor, the initial director of ‘Gone With The Wind,’ and they would both pick out young men for the night. They would pay the men with gifts such as cigarette cases, jewels, or even stocks and bonds. She depended on the professional discretion of men not to boast they had just serviced Scarlett O’Hara.”
The biography is also said to out some of Vivien’s lesbian lovers, as well as detail the affairs she had with other big stars such as Laurence Olivier and Marlon Brando.
