Some PR person shoved plaques into the hands of Ludacris and Tommy Lee the other day at a red carpet event. The two musicians happily posed and all was well…except that Tommy Lee’s plaque was upside down. Yikes. Luckily the poor fella got it fixed, and him and Luda shared a laugh. We can practically hear some reality producer licking his chops at this bit of an odd couple.

Ready? That is never get the Mayor in your fotos. Listen, do not get us wrong, we love and support our Mayor Villaraigosa, but we know from years of experience. Does not matter if it is the Mayor of Los Angeles, London or Bakersfield, they destroy the value of the photograph. It makes the reader feel that they are being sold something. Just because Tommy Lee is in the foto, does not cut it.
We learned this years ago, when we used to photograph the great Mayor Thomas Bradley with all kinds of celebrities and the photographs never moved anywhere. Take the Mayor out of the frame and let the celebrities do their own thing and bingo! The fotos sell. Now, if you had a foto of Elvis with the Mayor, that would be a different story.

We are kind of in love with this foto, and we’re not afraid to say it. Tommy Lee looks…indescribable here at Hadaka Sushi in West Hollywood last night. Tommy wore a striped shirt, ripped-to-hell jeans and a battered pair of Chucks as he and a mystery female companion exited the car. Tommy was puffing away on a cancer stick the whole time we saw him. Wonder what Tommy thinks of his baby-mama Pamela Anderson’s recent divorce plans?

During the day is really the best time to catch celebrities. They are much more themselves and casual and everyone wants to see our beautiful California sunshine.
Even Tommy Lee looks OK in the daylight. He was having lunch at one of our favorite haunts, Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza.

Tommy Lee looked like he was hit by a freight train the other evening as he left the Scream Premiere. That is OK, it will help us sell the photos.
A word of waring that if you are new to the Paparazzi game, remember that Tommy is not one to mess around with after he leaves a night club. He is totally unpredictable, but that did not bother our Paparazzo. The word fear is not in Mr. Nunez’s vocabulary.
