Salma Hayek and Harvey Weinstein through the event in honor of Penelope Cruz after her Oscar nomination for “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” A laundry list of stars appeared to share in the celebration including Scarlett Johansson and new husband Ryan Reynolds. Also in attendance were Ashton and Demi, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Antonio Banderas with Melanie Griffith, Charlize Theron and partner Stuart Townsend, Angela Bassett and her husband Courtney.
The New York Daily News reported:

“It was all celebs, with 1% normal people,” laughed one reveler. “Everyone’s eyes were riveted to the door, wondering who would come in next.”

Hayek greeted guests with daughter Valentina, 16 months old, on her hip. “Everyone gushed about how beautiful she is,” said our source. “Salma was so proud.”

The theme for the evening was inspired by the “Vicky” flick. Hayek’s house was decked out as a photographer’s darkroom/studio, with pictures of Cruz strung from wires across the walls. Aaron Eckhart, Eva Mendes, Adrien Brody, Drew Barrymore and others in the crowd milled about, captivated
by the images.

In one room, “Demi and Ashton huddled together for most of the night, but Ashton eventually broke off and was engrossed with Quincy Jones in the corner,” our spy reports. “I wouldn’t be surprised if they announced a joint project in six months, after their intense conversation.”

Johansson shocked the 100 or so guests with her “deeply dyed red hair,” our spy dishes. “She told friends it was for an upcoming role, but people were still doing double takes.”

Meanwhile, a soda-sipping Colin Farrell, sporting a shaved head for similar reasons, headed upstairs with Hayak to help put Valentina to bed. And since rock star Prince was milling about, some guests were buzzing that he’d be performing on the grand piano in Hayek’s living room. But the Purple One never touched the keys. Instead, he opted for a chat with Weinstein, co-chair of the company that produced “Vicky.”

“Harvey was holding court in the middle of the room. Everyone was congratulating him on all his Oscar nods. Even Catherine Zeta Jones snuck up behind him and surprised him with a hug! He was getting a lot of praise for ‘The Reader,’ too,” said our spy.

The evening’s funniest moment? When Brett Ratner’s “slick blond date” kept accidentally dimming the lights by leaning on them. Snickered our source: “Brett and his girl were too busy putting their hands on each other to notice they almost shut off the lights!”

Megan Fox Thinks Salma is Sexy

The stunning Salma Hayek stopped by The Late Show with David Letterman in New York City , New York looking fierce in these fotos! Salma was a presenter at the 68th Golden Globe Awards and did a fantastic job!

We aren’t the only ones who think she’s hotstuff either! There are reports that as the star walked by Megan Fox, Megan’s eyes followed. “I really want her boobs,” Fox said. “Those are the most amazing boobs.”

Salma Hayek was the epitome of a hot mama at the CNN HEROES ‘An All-Star TRIBUTE’ event earlier this week in Hollywood, California. We absolutely adore the clear colors that Salma prefers on the red carpet, dashed in with a good serving of black. It’s perfect for her tan skin – jewel tones look gorgeous on darker ladies. It’s hard to believe that Salma has a 1-year-old at home.

Salma Has Flapper Power

Salma Hayek was the hottest mama in New York City last night if you ask us, utterly sparkling in a beautiful silver gown. Salma attended the Hollywood Domino Tournament to Benefit The Art of Elysium last night. The event was held at the Edison Ballroom and had a 1930′s theme. Salma left the event with a gold trophy in the shape of a Domino.

We have some more lovely fotos of the darling little Valentina Paloma Pinault shopping with her gorgeous mother Salma Hayek on Beverly Blvd in Beverly Hills, yesterday. Salma, who is 41 and looks completely fabulous in this blueberry summer dress, struggled to keep hold of little Valentina’s hand. You try getting a 10-month old to stay still! The mother and daughter duo looked happy in spite of the recent announcement of Salma’s breakup with Valentina’s father, billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault. While it’s sad to see the family having problems, at least this little munchkin has an excellent pedigree, lots of love, and very, very rich parents!

Salma Picks A Good One

Salma Hayek made an appearance while shopping at Fred Segal in West Hollywood yesterday with a female friend. Salma, wearing a red Gucci t-shirt, left the store with quite a bit of merchandise, but nothing that she purchased that day could top the insanely beautiful Balenciaga bag that she’s carrying. That bag is so terribly exclusive and beautiful that she is likey one of maybe three people to actually own it. Talk about individuality. As the actress lef the boutique, a fan of hers helped her to her car as the paparazzi surrounded the area around her car. We hope they were genuine guys, and not just kids trying to get in some pictues with Salma Hayek.

Salma Looks Fab

Salma Hayek is looking gorgeous and happy here in her dove gray pantsuit. We took this foto at at the Global Green USA’s 5th Annual Pre-Oscar Party in Hollywood, California last night. Most of the photographers were snapping pics on the red carpet, but we managed to grab this logo-free candid of Salma using our intrepid photog skils! Her hair is looking really healthy and great – we think motherhood suits Salma just fine! We also think it’s cool that Salma isn’t crazy-dieting off her mommy weight. Take your time, Salma. You always look amazing!
