Bob Gruen Is A New York Doll!
We love our pal Bob Gruen! Bob was the king of New York Rock photography and a wonderful mentor and friend. We were delighted to get a personal invitation to his New York Dolls book signing party at Morrison Hotel over the weekend. We chatted with Bob about skiing in Deer Valley with our mutual best pal and Alice Cooper manager, Toby Mamis. We share a gold key to Toby’s ski chalet.
So we ran into tons of old friends at the party. Let’s see we saw Linda Ramone, photo legend Richard Aaron, Ed Lozzi, Henry Diltz, Sunset Strip mayor Rodney Bingheimer, Christian Audigier executive, Carol Leffler, PR legend Kathy Acquaviva, photographer Neal Preston and Morrison Hotel’s Rich Horowitz.

Hanging Out With Debbie Harry
We spent countess evenings hanging out over at the original KROQ radio station with our pal Rodney Bingheimer. The first broadcast was around 1977 and The Ramones were the first guest. Everyone showed up to be a guest on Rodney’s show including Debbie Harry from Blondie.
It was all about respect. If Elvis was still around, he would have been there too and he would have kissed Rodney’s hand!

We Were Treated Like Gods!
There was not an evening that would go by when you did not receive an invitation to some really cool nightclub, record company party, concert or orgy. That’s just the way it was.
The access was easy. If you knew about it, you were in. There was no PR to give you grief and no dog pack of paparazzi.
