Paparazzi: “A Flash In The Pan”?

Everyone is talking about the paparazzi recession these days. We saw this interesting article in the London Times the other day.

The drop in photo prices is worldwide. Why? Too many photos on the market and most importantly is that the public does not buy magazines anymore. Why shell out four bucks for a glossy magazine when you can get it all for free on the internet instantaneously.

We hear doom and gloom all the time, but it only makes us work harder. Buzz Foto has something unique that keeps us going and that is passion for our craft. Our enthusiasm is legendary and the paparazzi industry will never vanish. Enjoy the weekend!

Do Not Hang Up Your Cameras…

Do not hang your cameras before you call Buzz Foto! Yeah, we have heard all the doom and gloom in the economy and the paparazzi business, but we have seen all of this before. Too many paparazzi in the business and too many photos floating around and that creates a lousy market. This market however is more challenging then ever due to the drop in magazine and newspaper sales, but we are not concerned. Buzz Foto continues to grow due to our unique creativity and more important our vast worldwide distribution. No one can come close to our distribution. NO ONE!

La Dolce Vita In Bevelry Hills

We were incredibly moved with emotion to have held a paparazzi dinner last night in Beverly Hills honoring the king of the paparazzi, Settimio Garritano and his lovely and gracious wife Katia. Settimio has been our friend for decades and has been a wonderful mentor to many.

Settimio was one of the original La Dolce Vita photographers from the early sixties. His photos bring back memories of the days when paparazzi rode around on Vespas and the stars were full of style and grace. The most famous body of work is the captivating photos he made of Jackie Onassis on the island of Skorpios where he had zero competition.

He has enjoyed this wonderful business for over forty years and was full of stories last night. Watch for upcoming new projects from Settimio.

Buzz Foto Can Be Your Mentor!!

We must say that back in 1975 we had the best mentors. Our two dear friends were paparazzi Richard Creamer and Ron Galella. Richard was a bit more of the traditional photographer shooting set ups and some studio work and of course Ron was and still is legendary. They were both very generous with their time and encouragement.

We can do the same here at Buzz Foto with emerging and established paparazzi. We only ask that you follow all the rules and be loyal to us. If you are only nterested in the fast buck, please do not bother applying!
