Meryl is Always a Winner

Meryl Streep was glowing and gorgeous last night at the Oscars, and we’re wondering if the woman ever looks bad. Here she is just the day before the ceremony, fresh off the plane as she arrived at Los Angeles International Airport. Meryl was still in good spirits and looking happy and not at all stressed. She didn’t win last night, but Meryl is always a winner in our book, not just for her acting talent but also for her happy outlook on life.

A Magical Night

We’d like to thank Jaime Cassavechia, the Vice President of Susan Blond Inc. last night for the invite to a fantastic evening! Our photog Justin Campbell snapped up a long list of beautiful celebs at the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation’s 18th Annual “A Magical Evening Gala” in New York City, New York. Pictured here is the famed Glenn Close looking absolutely lovely. By the smile on her face, it’s evident she enjoyed the event as well!

Meryl Cooks Something Up

Meryl Streep is such a good Julia Child that it almost scares us. The actress left D. Barton Kyner antiques store on Broadway and 12th Street dressed as Julia Child for her upcoming film Julie & Julia. We think the shoes for this costume are a riot. The design is very similar to a carved wooden clog that designers Viktor & Rolf debut on their runway a few season ago. Meryl has been working a lot on different films lately, and we’re glad to see the talent back to work.

Recipe for an Oscar Nod (Again)

Meryl Streep is often called the greatest actress of our time, and she certainly does seem to already be a convincing Julia Child for her new biopic, Julie and Julia. This particular scene was a reenactment of Julia’s wedding, being September 1, 1946 at the Oriental Pavilion in Prospect Park in Queens. Meryl looked elegant in a vintage green dress and pearl necklace. This movie looks excellent, but we have a feeling we’re going to crave some yummy food after we see it.
