Molto Mario Moneybags

Mario Batali, the clog-wearing celebrity chef, has had his hands in all things food, having published many cookbooks, opened restaurants, and recently starred in a Italian special costarring Gwyneth Paltrow. We saw Mario yesterday with his very cute son Benno in New York City. Benno gave us some goofy poses when he saw our camera. Mario handed his son Benno a $20 bill for allowance before zipping off on his trademark Vespa to his restaurant Babbo.

Bono and Mario are Fond of One Another

How’s this for a greeting? Bono attended the launch party f in New York City, New Yorkor the new cooking show starring Mario Batali and Gwyneth Paltrow. And how did Bono greet the chef? Why, with a big old kiss. Well, isn’t it a saying or something to kiss the cook? Looks like Bono was taking it literally. Mario and Bono greeted one another happily and chatted for a bit. Mario was wearing his trademark Crocs and shorts. We’re not fans of the combo of course, but we do think its cool that Mario refused to change his duds, even for a swanky premiere.
