Our New York photographer Christopher Peterson is the hardest working man in show biz! He never stops. Last night he made it down to the East Village to cover the departures of celebrities leaving the Classic Stage Company where celebrities were there to see Maggie Gyllenhaal in her performance of Chekhov’s play “Uncle Vanya”.
The photo highlight was a leggy Mamie Gummer who just so happens to be the daughter of Meryl Streep. Also caught on camera was Peter Sarsgard, Claire Danes, Maggie and Jake. Thank you Christopher!

Maggie Gyllenhaal comes from money, so it’s possible that she was raised with the idea that less is more. Still, for the life of us we can’t figure out why she decided to wear this “dress” for a guest appearance on the Daily Show show last night in New York City, New York. It is not understand so much as it is OLD and FRUMPY. Seriously, this would look ancient even on Joan Rivers. Maggie was nice enough though to stop and sign some autographs for fans on her way in. What do YOU think of Maggie’s dress? Chic or derelict?

Here’s just a quick and simple shot of Maggie Gyllenhaal after we saw her leaving for the ‘Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy’ Costume Institute Gala. We like the wide NATURAL smile on Maggie’s face though – we get so tired of stars with their sort of smirks when they are posing in magazines and on the red carpet. This is partially why people love paparazzi fotos and always will. We like to see stars when they aren’t acting and just being themselves.
