Courtney Cox looked a littled stunned to see us last night as she had dinner at Madeo’s Restaurant in Beverly Hills with Tobey Maguire’s wife Jennifer Meyer. No one really payed attention to Jennifer – both fans and photographers had their eyes on Courtney as she stepped out of her car looking so good. The look is so great for summer – the gray wide-leg jeans add miles to her legs.

We bid thee farewell, Yves Saint-Laurent. The fashion designer passed away today in Paris. He was 71, and spent most of his life constantly changing the face of fashion. We’re certain though, that even with his demise, the fashion house that bears his name will continue his pattern of innovation. Yves Saint-Laurent was also the first major designer to hire black models for his runway.

We’re constantly astounded by the way these Hollywood moms manage to shed their baby weight. Case in point? Halle Berry, yesterday! We saw Halle shopping at the Cross Creek shopping center in Malibu, looking wonderful in a summery white dress. She seemed really happy to be spending some time in retail therapy, until of course the paps showed up. Editors love to publish fotos of new moms, with or without the baby.

Dad Gavin Rossdale was looking casual in jeans and a t-shirt, which he somehow manages to look excellent in. Oh, phew. It looks like Marcia Cross‘s new ‘do was nothing more than a wig! We’re torn – we liked the dark hair, but also think that Marcia’s lovely locks are a trademark that she should never trade in. Was the wig for PopFiction? We were relieved to see Marcia back in red as she took one of her daughters for a stroll a few days ago in Brentwood, California. We know that it is baby season in Hollywood right now. We have no issue with that – we love little cute children (especially when they have lovely celeb parents that almost secure their beauty, lucky ducks). But what annoys us, but in a good way, is all the ladies in Hollywood make that being pregnant look so glamorous. Take Alessandra Ambrosio for example. The pregnant model looked radiant as she shopped with her boyfriend Jamie Mazur at Planet Blue Clothing Boutique earlier this week. She just floated around like it was just a part of her day. And this is where the good part is. It’s empowering to see women making pregnancy look like more of choice than a chore. For many, being pregnant means being tired, ugly, and out of sorts. But these women are making it the most glamorous thing in the world, and that’s a fantastic change of pace. Child-bearing is such a beautiful thing, and we’re glad that this string of celebs is helping let everyone know that.

Everyone loves a great pair of skinny jeans – they’ve become a staple in every fashionable woman’s day-to-day wardrobe. And that is kind of where the problem lies – the skinny jean cannot work for everyone. Case and point: Serena Williams recently exiting the grand opening of the A Bathing Ape clothing store in Hollywood. Everything else about the look is great – a classic color combination with sleek hair and makeup. The only problem is that the skinny jeans are just too skinny for a girl as curvaceous as Serena. A jean with a slighly wider leg and loose fit would have allowed this look to shine. Do you agree?

Viewers take note: THIS is exactly why we never endorse leggings as pants! Kim Kardashian headed out with a couple of friends yesterday when she went to get her nails done at Nails Design in Beverly Hills. Her friend looked great a pair of trendy wide-leg jeans that fit like a glove. And Kim proved to us that her skin is great without makeup (yeah, she has some intense bags under eyes, but who doesn’t these days). And she also carried a large, fabulous white Chanel tote around with her. But none of this was of any importance – the only thing that mattered was her groin-area in those mind-boggling Nike leggings. We can maybe understand if she was going to workout, but even still, those leggings show us just a bit more than we’re willing to see. As fashion designer Michael Kors once said to a Project Runway contestant, “The crotch on those pants is just INSANE!”

Kristin Takes A Day Off

Everyone deserves a day off from being glamorous. We’re guessing that Kristin Cavallari elected to take hers yesterday as she went out to pick up a few things from CVS in Los Angeles. She picked up some cough medicine form the pharmacy, but she didn’t seem to be ill at all. When we caught her, she assumed that she had just returned from the gym after a hard workout. That would explain the leggings, nike running shoes, and oversized band tee. We love her Ray-Bans though, and the band on her t-shirt is Blondie, which makes it totally acceptable. Blondie. Nicole Narain partied the night away at Villa Night Club this weekend in West Hollywood, California. Nicole was wearing a grey mini dress teamed with high heels and a handbag. The former Playboy bunny looked sleek with her hair pulled back in a ponytail. Our real complaint, though is that tattoo! Tribals are sooo last decade, and will continue to look out of fashion, in our opinion. Check out Nicole’s legs though – she’s got a great pair.

Ricki the Cougar?

Hmm, this is twice we’ve seen Ricki Lake out with this young man – their last public appearance was on March 1st. Who is he? Her trainer, her friend, family member, or her…boyfriend? We doubt it, as Ricki has said in the past she’d never date younger than 30, and that guy looks about 19. Ricki was looking very 60′s as she and her mystery male companion walked hand in hand. The two had lunch at The Ivy in West Hollywood, and were chatting as they made their way to their car. We love Ricki’s Balenciaga bag!

Landon Donovan is an American soccer player, and a good one at that. He’s currently with the Los Angeles Galaxy, home to sexy David Beckham. Landon’s wife Bianca Kajlich is an American actress who’s had small roles on Bring it On and Boston Public. The couple were out to dinner last night at STK restaurant in West Hollywood when they bumped into David Spade. The trio exchanged how-dos and Bianca gave David a smooch as they departed. We’re surprised that Bianca sports those high Louboutins when out with her husband – they make her at least a head taller than him.

Nicky Is Never Too Hot For Leather

Nicky Hilton partied a couple of nights ago at Villa Lounge nightclub in West Hollywood with her boyfriend David Katzenberg. The two came out of the club after a long night of partying looking tired, but exhilarated at the same time. It was clear by tha smiles on their faces that they had a pretty wonderful night dancing in the club that night. Nicky Hilton stepped out in her finest (we guess she decided to look her best this night because the press hasn’t seen her in a while…better start the weekend in the most stylish form). She looked really sexy in a black blazer, and a black mini skirt paired with a bright white Chanel bag. We love the leather skirt – it takes guts to pull off leather in the late Spring heat and humidity, and Nicky totally has it down.
