“MTV must be doing some soul searching at the moment.

The cornerstone of its programming, The Hills, and its related spinoffs aren’t doing so well!

We mentioned on Tuesday that The Hills’ season four finale viewership dropped by more than a million from the last season.

And, now, new reports indicate weak premieres for the NYC version of The Hills, the Whitney Port-starring series The City, and Brody Jenner’s reality competition show, Bromance.

When compared to The Hills season four premiere, The City’s numbers look less than impressive.

The Hills 4 premiere scored 3.5 million viewers and The City, 1.6 million, say TV insiders.

Bromance’s number were dismal.

It managed to attract a paltry 963,000 to its premiere.

Lauren Conrad, et al. are definitely on the OUT list for 2009!”

We took some shots of LC as she wrapped up a studio session and headed for her home in Los Angeles. She was wearing a white sweater, jeans, and Minnetonka suede boots. But as she left, we saw her hiding her face. We’re not sure if she was blocking out the sun, or if she was hiding something on her face. “The Hills” star Lauren Conrad debut her Fall 2008 collection a couple of days ago at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles. The collection was actually pretty cute – full of chic little dresses and some versatile basics (like sweaters and leggings), and a lot of LC’s favorite color, black. Many fans complained that her Spring collection was far to simplistic for the price tag, so the luxe factor in this collection was decidedly increased, with more sophisticated pieces like high waisted skirts and body-conscious, curve-friendly cocktail dresses that hinted toward her interpretation of French chic. It seemed like a collection designed with her and her friends heavily on the brain – she wore her own dress on the red carpet before the show. What do you think of the collection? A definite improvement over last season? Or still overpriced?

Don’t worry, Lauren Conrad isn’t pulling a Chad Muska! She did nearly trip though as she and a friend avoided stepping in wet sand after partying at the FoxTail Bar and Lounge yesterday in Beverly Hills, California. After, she and her friend were in a fit of giggles as they headed off into the night. We do not blame Lauren – it would be a crime to treat that sumptuous pair of Louboutins that way! Lauren is carrying a Chanel purse with gold chain – it’s a bit different and we like it.
