Kate Winslet put the Oscar down to play the role of everyday mom, as she puffed out a cloud of cold air while walking through the West Village after dropping her kids off at school in New York City, New York. We love Kate! She’s so down to earth, yet incredibly beautiful and talented!
The very beautiful and talented Kate Winslet made her triumphant return to New York City yesterday as she arrived at JFK airport in Manhattan from L.A., after her short trip to attend the Oscars. The actress was beaming with joy as she carried her Oscar in a green protector case. Kate said that she couldn’t wait to show her kids the award and that she was overjoyed by finally winning. Yes, it’s been much too long for Kate to have gone without a Best Actress statue. We’re sure that this first win will not be her last!
We can’t say enough things about the beautiful British actress Kate Winslet, who is nonimated for a Best Actress Academy Award for her work in the “The Reader.” She is kind, intelligent, beautiful and talented. We were lucky to take her picture as she left her apartment to make an appearance on “The View” in New York City, New York.
Kate Winslet has been nominated so very often for Oscars, but we think that the Academy has favored other, more older actors. Whatever, we won’t accept that for an excuse anymore. Give Kate her Best Actress Oscar! We suspect that there will be a great many golden statues in her future – she’s an amazing actress. And we also think that Kate is setting a nice precedence in her SAG Award win. Here she is on the SAG red carpet, in a lovely Narciso Rodriguez gown…looking every inch the best actress of her generation. Even Mickey Rourke came over to greet her with a kiss.
