Revealing on John Travolta’s website that the family is “heartbroken” over the sudden death of their son Jett, we think that would be enough information right now and everyone could back off and let the family grieve. The official statement said:

“Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us,
signed: “With love, John, Kelly and Ella.”

Although we think this is a terrible situation and very sad, we can’t help but wonder why the family lawyer is giving out soooo many statements to the press. When a death occurs in the family, it is normally more of a private thing, even in the public eye. The details usually come out sooner or later, but not all at once.

Maybe the lawyer is anticipating cleaning up a mess before it even happens? John and Kelly have long denied suggestions that their son Jett had autism, saying instead that he suffered from seizures brought on by Kawasaki Syndrome.

According to the Telegraph, some health experts say there is no link between Kawasaki and seizures. However, it’s reportedly common for sufferers of autism to have seizures if they are left untreated.

Autism is often associated with epilepsy. Nearly half of autistic children in the U.S. are prescribed anti-convulsion drugs. About a third develop epilepsy. Many suffer from seizures that can begin in adolescence.

And, according to many experts, there are dozens of drugs designed to help, beyond the one Jett was reportedly forced to discontinue because it stopped working.

Is it the autism debate the lawyer wishes to quell or the suspicious circumstances of the death. Either way, we’d think the lawyer would let the family grieve and then make an official statement first. It all seems to be happening so fast. The Daily Mail posted some comments the lawyer has made:

“I did everything I could to keep Jett alive,’ Travolta told his family lawyer Michael McDermott.
‘There was a slight pulse so we did all we could. I tried the kiss of life for about 20 minutes. I wouldn’t give up.

‘The paramedics took over from me when they arrived, and they continued. Jeff (his male nanny Jeff Kathrein) gave Jett CPR while I tried to resuscitate him.’

Jett, who had a history of seizures, was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital at Freeport in the Bahamas.

‘I’ve got to be strong for Kelly and Ella,’ Travolta told McDermott, referring to his eight year-old daughter Ella.

‘We have to try and pick ourselves up and continue with our lives.’

John has had dozens of calls from all the people he has worked with in Hollywood,’ said McDermott.

The lawyer, speaking with the authorisation of Travolta, revealed details about the events leading up to Jett’s death.

The family had been in the Bahamas to see in the New Year.

They had been on a boat trip and Jett returned to his room with nanny Mr Kathrein. ‘Jett was tired and wanted to go to bed early,’ said McDermott.

‘It was about 6pm when he got back to his room which is on the ground floor of the house where John was staying.

‘He was accompanied by his nanny who stayed watching TV while Jett was in his room.’

McDermott said Jett’s other nanny, a man called Eli, later returned to the room and slept in an adjacent room. He was just a few feet away.
Jett’s room was fitted with a baby monitor and chimes on the bathroom door.”

This is so sad, we hope the media frenzy calms down soon.

Sorry You Missed This Foto!

We just dug up this vintage photograph out of the Buzz Foto archives. We took this foto thirty years ago at the very exclusive party for Grease on the Paramount back lot. Yep, that is John Travolta kissing Olivia Newton John and guess how many photographers were there? About three! Today you would never get near stars of this magnitude without signing your life away and copyrights. Everything has gone corporate.

Looking back, this photo was done to sell a movie and today the best shots are not staged, they are in the street. Life imitating Art.

Travolta Is Still A Star

As everyone knows, we are not very big on Red Carpet or event fotos, but we found this photo of John Travolta interesting. Not sure why, but after John’s 30 year tenure in the business, he still looks like a classic movie star. He was attending the Legends of Aviation in Beverly Hills.

This Is What It Is All About!

Here it is! This is what we have been telling all new Paparazzos. Stay away from Red Carpet events and the lame trophies! They are boring and the magazines do not want them. They just keep the client and the PR happy.

Now, when you are creative and you pick your subjects well you can be like Mr. Nunez and come up with an amazing iconic photograph away from the Red Carpet.

The PR will be furious when they see this photo in print, but we do not care! How did Mr. Nunez get this reaction from John? Pure charm!

Dog Pack At Chow’s

This is want is happening these days in peaceful Beverly Hills. Swarms of photographers everyhere with everyone trying to find the gold. This photo captures the insanity of what is happening with the tabloid culture. What we love about this photo is that Kelly Preston is so nonshalant seated in her comfy car as she leaves John to tangle with the mess outside. We still love this town.
