There is always such fierce competition to get an effortlessly striking and relentlessly hip photograph to whet magazine readers’ eyes all over the world. On the rare occasion, it is quite like shooting fish in a barrel. At other times, one must fight like something out of “In Dubious Battle” to flashbulb it home. Jereme should have smiled here and realized photojournalists chronicle a time and place. Diane Arbus and Margaret Bourke-White would have loved this time. One day soon Jereme will look back at this photo and smile knowing he was captured on film during this particularly zany zeitgeist of a time.
