We were invited to attend the ‘in crowd’ opening of Jamie Warren’s first solo show at Higher Pictures on Madison Ave in New York last night. Whoop Dee Doo–her public access edutainment talent show of the highly weird things that ‘normal’ people do to feel “cultural” as celebrated from the point of view of those of us who like to take a break from the tedium of relentless cynicism–is displayed in colorful satire. Jamie was there in the flesh showing off her photographs from her new Aperture book, ‘Don’t You Feel Better.’

The gallery is owned by our friend Kim Bourus who has the best eyes in the business when it comes to showcasing photo talent! Over the years Kim has introduced us to the brilliant work of several legendary photographers including Jill Freeman, who we got to meet at the party. You could never meet such legends in Los Angeles!
