The House that Heath Built

Here is an exterior shot of Heath Ledger’s Five Leaves Bar in New York City. The building permit indicates that they are going to “renovate existing space for eating and drinking place”. Before Heath Ledger died, he reportedly was an investor in the nautically-themed bar called the “Five Leaves” located at the corner of Lorimer Street and Bedford Avenue in Greenpoint, New York. According to the New York Post, Heath Ledger’s father and executor of his estate, has decided to invest more money into the renovation in order to complete the job, because he “knew how much the project meant to Heath”.

Family Sticks Together

The family of the late Heath Ledger got together to attend the premier of the actor’s last film, The Dark Knight, at the AMC Loews in New York City. His father Kim (with his second wife Emma Brown) and his sister Kate (a former actress and current publicist) met outside their mid-town hotel before heading over to the premiere. It must have been an emotional roller-coaster for the family to see something so monumental for them. It was Heath’s last piece, and was certainly one his most affecting performances according to critics across the country.  Everyone is hailing this as one of the best performances of the year.  We’re confident that this will be the film of the summer.

Touching Fotos

We find these fotos of Michelle Williams and her precious daughter Matilda Rose Ledger so touching. They were on an outing today in New York which included a trip to Tasti D Lite and after Boerum Park.

That Didn’t Take Very Long

The passing of Heath Ledger only happened a couple months ago, and already his extended family are going on about the money. Two of Heath Ledger’s family members implied in an Australian newspaper today that there may be some less-than-honest fingers in his assets.

Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper reports today that Ledger’s uncles Mike and Haydn have accused Ledger’s father, Kim, of mismanaging their grandfather’s estate to the tune of $2.5 million.

Heath’s father Kim did not respond, but this statement was issued after Heath’s will was discovered.

“Matilda is our absolute priority and Michelle is an integral part of our family,” he said. “They will be taken care of and that’s how Heath would want it to be.”

It’s sad that the passing of a very bright young star has to be punctuated with such ugly family feuding. Below is a picture of Heath and his family from 2006.

The Final Foto

This is the photo that every editor wants this evening. Tragic, but it is a big news story. There must have been a hundred photographers and media outside of Heath Ledger’s SoHo apartment this afternoon and this is the photograph they were all trying to make.

What Was This Guy Thinking?

Can you believe this story. Justin was hanging around the Waverly Inn this week when Heath Ledger arrived and as soon as he saw Justin attempting to take his photo, he totally flipped out and walked away. Now what possible threat can a young art student- Paparazzo cause him. He needs to get a grip on life, turn around and pose for a photograph.
