What Dreams Are Made Of!

Nelson Rockefeller could have had his pick of the best beach front property in the world. In the 1960′s he chose this prime strip of beach to build his Mauna Kea Resort on the island of Kona. Guests and celebrities from around the world would come to Mauna Kea and enjoy this special natural cove which was voted twice as “best beach in the world”.

Mauna Kea is all set to reopen next month with a grand bash set for March. We were there last week for a swim while staying next door at the always charming Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Nothing like taking a break in paradise.
