We were delighted to catch up with some photo legends and good friend of this week at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. Gifted photographer Tim Mantoani exhibited his work of 20×24 Polaroids of famous photographers as they hold their most iconic pictures, this interesting layered concept both juxtaposes and celebrates the creation and its creator. It is a rare chance for the viewer to be influenced by the original photograph, the interpretation of the artist himself as well as the combination of these elements forming the final photography itself. All of this is part of MOPLA, Month Of Photography Los Angeles.
We saw all the photo greats there including our dear friend Nick Ut from Associated Press, Francoise and Douglas Kirkland, Jim Mchugh, Eckhart Schmidt and Jonathan Ventura! The exhibit runs though April 30, second floor 208 at the Blue Whale ( PDC ).
