Los Angeles Says Goodbye to Farrah

We tossed and turned about covering Farrah’s service today. We finally decided that since it is a news story and as there was already a large media presence in front of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels that it would be OK. All of the large news organizations lined up hours in advance and our freelance photographers kept their distance out of respect. Farrah will be missed by Los Angeles and the world.

Good Fotos Never Lose Their Relevance!

Here is a great foto that our Brad Elterman took at a 1980 at a Rolling stones concert backstage. That is Farrah Fawcett, Ryan, Griffin and Tatum O’Neal. They all posed for Brad because he asked first! Ryan said years later after seeing this photo that this was the happiest period of his life. This foto is currently appearing in this week’s People Magazine and that is the why photographers should never give up their copyright!

This foto has significance because of all the trouble Tatum O’Neal has been in lately. Tatum has recently alleged that her father Ryan exposed Tatum to his celebrity bachelor lifestyle at a young age. She has made claims in her autobiography that when she was only 13, her father took her and her friend Melanie Griffith on a trip to Europe, where she caught him having sex with Griffith in their hotel room. She also claims that when her father left for a movie shoot, she smoked opium with Griffith and then invited a male hairdresser and his girlfriend to their hotel room where the four of them participated in an orgy that Griffith had dragged her into.

Some Fotos Never Die

This is a prime example of the importance of maintaining the copyright to your photographs. If you have the definitive photograph of a celebrity and if they continue to be in the news, the fotos will sell for years.

All the media is covering the Tatum O’Neal arrest story in New York and that means that they are looking for fotos.

This photograph was taken in 1980 of Ryan O’Neal with his new girlfriend, at the time, Farrah Fawcett backstage at a Rolling Stones concert. Ryan was never big on posing for fotos, but he was in love and in an amazing mood that evening so he let us set up this shot.

What made this photograph so powerful was that it was the very first family photo of the entire O’Neal tribe including Tatum and her brother Griffin.

We Wish Farrah The Best

Farrah Fawcett was one of the biggest and most photographed stars in history. Right up there with Monroe. Today she is still Hollywood royalty and by the looks of this photo, taken in Beverly Hills yesterday, she is still as lovely as ever. Is that her son Redmond with her?

Best Story Of The Week

It was just reported today that Farrah Fawcett “has had a full and complete response to treatment. Her prognosis is excellent”, according to her doctors. Farrah has always been Hollywood Royality. She was queen bee way before Paris, Nicole and Tonto. Farrah was and is so sweet, cool & classy. We just dug up this beautiful archive photo from 1980 taken backstage at at Stones concert in L.A. It was the first photo of Farrah and Ryan together. With the two love birds is Ryan’s kids, Griffin and Tatum O’Neal. Ryan saw the photo recently and remarked that “these were the happiest days of my life”. Hey Ryan, they were the happiest days of our life too.
