David’s Back in Business

David Duchovny was snapped leaving A Votre Sante restaurant in Los Angeles, California yesterday. David left the establishment after meeting up with a friend for lunch and strolled to his car on the sunny day and carried a DVD in his hand. David’s had a tough time with the press lately after a barrage of reports stated that David had checked himself into rehab for sex addiction.

“Last year was a difficult year,” David told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson on the Golden Globes red carpet. “And I can say that I personally, have never felt better. And I think the better I am, the better my family can be.”

What’s the word here we’re looking for here…. Is it Irony? Perhaps coincidence? Maybe the word is foreshadowing. David Duchovny, pictured here with co-star Natascha McElhone stars in the Showtime series, “Californication.” Fox News describes the show as “almost a celebration of sex addiction. His character, Hank Moody, is a male slut who can’t stop himself from destroying his own life.”
The connection here is that, as most of you now know, David has entered rehab for sex addiction. He issued a statement recently to the press (supposedly because the tabloids were going to do it first! Someone in rehab leaked the story).
We don’t want to make light of this sad situation, but we have to wonder if working on the show was a case of adding to the problem or art imitating life.

He Wants to Believe

David Duchovny and his co-star Natascha McElhone were hard at work in New York yesterday. Yeah, David, you better get back to work. The dismal performance of the new X-files movie this weekend could seriously damages his bankability! But David seemed carefree as he and Natascha strolled through Central Park while filming a scene for their Showtime TV series Californication .

Holey Duchovny!

David Duchovny wasn’t looking very Fox-ish when we saw him yesterday in Beverly Hills. David was headed to lunch at the Newsroom, wearing a rather ratty pair of pants and a green ringer shirt. Well, stars can get away with that kind of shabbiness occasionally…supposedly. David just wrapped his new movie, X-Files: I Want To Believe much to the delight of X-File fans across the world.

I love this photo so much. Not only does David look devastatingly handsome but it shows off Madeline Zima’s lustrous hair too! On-set still shots are always so wonderful to see as a foto fan because it makes one remember why we’re in this business: we love the cinema so, so much! Alfred Hitchcock’s on-set goings-on were also some terrific snapshots and showed acute vignettes of the filming excitement. Seeing Duchovny – hunky & talented & artistically inclined – ranks with those shots.
