Here at Buzz, we love fashion. We sometimes get a little obsessed with what people are wearing, and we think everyone should from time to time. Fashion and dress is one of the most important ways to send an immediate message about who you are to others: a great blazer can signify power, and vibrant florals can scream creativity. Fashion designers are an integral part in creating an identity for celebs, and that’s why they are honored every year for their accomplishments in fashion with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards. Awards are given to the best designers (chosen by the CFDA) in various categories.
This year, the award for womenswear went to Francisco Costa of Calvin Klein. The designer has been highly regarded for his minimalist, highly stuctured dresses that are all at once tailored and easy. Though Calvin (pictured below at the Waverly Inn in New York City) is no longer at the drawing board at the house, he still oversees some of the creative direction for the house.

Calvin Klein was another influential American (albeit retired) designer that was out at the Waverly Inn in New York City last night. He arrived alone, but he looked very classic and elegant in a white shirt and a slim black suit. He was very polite as we took fotos of him. We wonder what was happening at the Waverly last night. Was there some type of meeting of the creative minds? We know that the Waverly is the place to be for the fashion elite, but all of New York’s major talents were there last night.
