Trendy Royal T in Culver Citiy was the place to be last night. The place was mobbed for the Hello Kitty opening night reception. The classic 35 year old Japanese brand is showing no signs of slowing down. The exhibition, entitled “Three Apples” though November 15. Thank you Susie Lee!

The French really know how to party. We were invited to a really cool birthday party for Sébastien Morel at the home of Jseb Deligny in Paris this week. The Villa was loaded with actors, models and local French celebrities. Everyone knows Buzz Foto here in Paris!. Merci Bianca from Cafe Marley!

Paparazzi and fashion go hand in hand these days. The fashion world is fascinated with the paparazzi and once again Buzz Foto is at the forefront. The September issue of Vogue Brazil has four editorial pages featuring Buzz Foto’s early seventies photographs. Totally cool! Our growth and creativity continues. We hope to be down in Florianópolis, Brazil early next year!

It seems like yesterday that we posed up Duran Duran in 1978 on the Sunset Strip. The photo session lives on and so does BuzzFoto. A word of advise for aspiring photographers/paparazzi… work hard, study your craft and look for the true talent who have staying power. Remember, these photos have the potential to sell forever!

Back in the day in the seventies Buzz Foto was photographing the stars with film. Yes hard to believe it, but yes it is true. We had to have two cameras with us at all times. One for color and the other for black and white. Shooting color was always a very expensive proposition and it took at least one day to get the film processed. We were then faced with making duplicate slides and expensive prints. Then we had the taske of mailing or air freighting our photos to our magazine and newspaper clients in over thirty countries. Keep in mind that this was way before the days of FedEx. The good part is that there was practically zero competition and no one in the industry knew anything about photo syndication and could not fathom that you could make money with your photos in Europe, Australia and Japan. We of course were on our own mission.

No, Joan Jett is not telling Buzz Foto to piss off. That is just Joan being affectionate with us back in 1977. The photo was taken in 1977 backstage at a Runaways concert in 1977. We will never forget the aroma of that backstage dressing room at the Whiskey A Go Go. It was a combination of beer, weed, piss and puke. Charming. We will never forget those days!
