This Photo Could Have Been Better!

Picture 1 of 1

This could have been one incredible photograph and our very own Brad Elterman admits that he blew it. Hey, it happens to everyone and it is all part of the paparazzi learning curve. This is Debbie Harry from Blondie working some awards show at The Hollywood Palladium back in 1977. Brad’s concept was to make a photo of Debbie surrounded by the sea of photographers. In retrospect, in order to make a really great photograph, Debbie needed to be closer to the dog pack and what really pisses Brad off is that he chopped off her feet!. Sometimes you just get caught up in a moment!

Remember readers that composition is everything and you do it in the camera and not in PhotoShop!

A Classic Debbie Harry Photo By Richard Creamer

This is without a doubt the best photograph we have ever seen of Debbie Harry and it was taken by our good friend and mentor Richard Creamer. Richard adored photographing glamorous women and Debbie was no exception. With his unique style and personality, Richard made many iconic photographs in the sixties, seventies, eighties and into the nineties.

This photo was taken around 1978 when Blondie was in town for some nightclub performances. Richard carted Debbie up to the top of the Hollywood Hills to make this classic Hollywood sign photograph. Check out the perfect fill flash. He was the king of mixing strobe with natural light.

Sadly, Richard is no longer with us, but his photographs live on. We were blessed to have been his friend and photo agent. He was the best mentor ever.

Buzz Foto Iconic: The Tongue That Lives On In Infamy!

With just a glance you can tell that this photograph was taken in 1978. Here is our friend and celebrity Bebe Buell sucking on the tongue of Dead Boys member Stiv Bators at a Blondie party at Fiorucci’s in Beverly Hills. Now thirty years later the Fiorucci’s store is a bank, Stiv is resting in rock and roll heaven, Bebe is the mother of Liv Tyler and the Buzz Foto iconnic archives continue to grow. Stiv maybe gone, but that tongue will live on forever!

Hanging Out With Debbie Harry

We spent countess evenings hanging out over at the original KROQ radio station with our pal Rodney Bingheimer. The first broadcast was around 1977 and The Ramones were the first guest. Everyone showed up to be a guest on Rodney’s show including Debbie Harry from Blondie.

It was all about respect. If Elvis was still around, he would have been there too and he would have kissed Rodney’s hand!
