BuzzFoto Blind Item #636

This actor grew up in a small town in the Midwest and lived in poverty for most of his childhood. He was so ashamed of his roots, in his early acting career he never did interviews about his background or past. When he first got into the business, he spent most of his money and energy on lavish homes and cars to compensate, almost ruining him financially. Since his marriage and becoming a father, he’s now shifting his focus and just last month, made a sizable anonymous donation to a local children’s shelter by selling an exotic car and donating the proceeds.

Natalie Portman, More Than a Pretty Face

Oscar winning actress Natalie Portman has it all: a glamorous acting career, a hot fiancé (New York City Ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied), and an adorable infant son. But there is much more to the hauntingly beautiful face than meets the eye. “I don’t care if [college] ruins my career,” Portman has said. “I’d rather be smart than a movie star.” She graduated with a BA in psychology from Harvard, has co-authored two research papers which were published in scientific journals, and has been a guest lecturer at Columbia University. As if that wasn’t enough to intimidate everyone around her, she’s also fluent in Hebrew, and has studied French, German, Japanese and Arabic.
Portman has been a vegetarian since childhood, and is a passionate activist for animal rights, environmental causes, and anti-poverty campaigns. She has traveled abroad and within the States as a spokesperson for FINCA International, an organization which promotes microloans for female small business owners in developing countries. She’s been engaged in political campaigning for democratic presidential candidates, such as John Kerry and Barack Obama. But even though she’s got a lot going for her, she’s never taken herself too seriously (remember her gangsta rap on SNL?).

Olivia Wilde who recently announced her departure from “House” was seen shopping in Beverly Hills in Los Angeles. The star seemed cool and calm in spite of her big announcement the night before.

EW.com reports:

At the In Time premiere held last night at the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood, Calif., Wilde told EW that she didn’t foresee a return to the show — even if rumors that it could be the show’s last season prove to be true. “I think the way we left it, if she came back, it would probably seem forced,” Wilde said. “So I don’t think she should come back. I liked her exit story a lot, so I am happy with it.”

Back in June, executive producer David Shore told EW that Wilde would “be back for at least some of the season” but ultimately, Wilde’s sole appearance this season was also her last. In her final episode, Thirteen was fired by House so that she could make a guilt-free move to Greece with her girlfriend. Wilde said her time on the show, which has seen her character struggle with Huntington’s Disease and spend some time in jail, was satisfying without having to revisit it. “I wouldn’t be so bold as to ask for anything more from House,” she told EW. “I had such an amazing run on the show. They’ve done such cool things with my character. She’s been so fascinating, dynamic and cool and unpredictable.”
