Matthew James Gets Bionic Hand, Courtesy Of Formula One Team
Huffington Post Reports:
Mercedes GP Petronas says a British teen who asked the Formula One team to sponsor his bionic hand has received a new prosthetic limb.
Matthew James, 14, was born without a left hand. The prosthetic he wanted costs around 30,000 pounds ($49,000), so he wrote to the team asking it would help pay and offering to put the Mercedes GP logo on the hand.
Mercedes GP – which like many F1 teams strews its cars and drivers with sponsorships – says the team was “so moved” by James’s letter it got in touch with the maker of the prosthetic, Touch Bionics, to find a solution.

Hilary Duff made a special announcement via her website with a special first anniversary post:
“We also want to share the exciting news that… BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives,” she wrote.
News of her pregnancy comes as a surprise, considering she recently told Access Hollywood that she feels she’s too young to have kids just yet.
“We talk about it. Yes, we’re excited to do that, but I think I want to work a little more. I’m tossing around the idea of making another record… We want it, and we’re excited for it but think it can wait a while longer… He is supportive of me. We both are excited to do that, but he knows I’m still young,” she said.
Duff, who got her start on the Disney Channel’s “Lizze McGuire” series, married Mike Comrie on August 14, 2010.

A Call For A Gay Puppet Marriage?
Via HuffPo:
The demands of a petition calling for Bert and Ernie to get married, which has become an internet sensation in the last few years, has been gently denied by the Sesame Street Workshop, who issued this statement on their Facebook page:
Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves. Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics (as most Sesame Street Muppets™ do), they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation.
This isn’t the first time the organization has moved to deny a sexual relationship between their two roommate puppets; in June 2010, a tweet sent from the Sesame Street Twitter account from Bert that said his mohawk was more “mo” than “hawk” was suspected by bloggers to be a sort of coded acknowledgment of their relationship.
Bloggers also took as a hint the large number of gay guest stars from that season, to which Sesame Street responded, “We’ve always reached out to a variety of actors and athletes and celebrities to appear on the show, and our programming has always appealed to adults as much as children.”
