We’re concerned about the conflict in DR Congo where over 1,000 women are raped each day with sticks, knives, guns or worse. Over 7 million people have been slaughtered in this conflict and we were happy to help out with the Run For Congo Women 5k event that raised awareness and funds for Women For Women International. If you haven’t heard about Women For Women , check them out! They sponsor post-rape survivors, giving them medical attention, vocational and rights training and much more. They are truly bringing hope to the human devastation in Congo and we were happy to be part of it.
