There was a time in the photo industry back in the eighties when an iconic photograph like this one of Jack Nicholson greeting Warren Beatty would have made a small fortune around the world. Two ICONS meeting on the street would have made double pages all in Paris Match, Galla, Bunte, Hello and Panorama in Europe. The Japanese would have gone nuts too and it would have made a big splash in The National Enquirer as well. That was twenty years ago. Sadly, the market has all changed and the readers turn up their noses if you are a celebrity over 30. As much as we adore this wonderful photograph, it will be interesting to see the action it gets in today’s market.
