Laura Linney’s Understudy Saves the Day
Actress Laura Linney’s playwright father, Romulus Linney, fell ill which caused Laura’s understudy, actress Heidi Armbruster, to step into her role for the past six days for Time Stands Still at Cort Theater in New York City. Laura’s father died of lung cancer…ironic given Laura is up for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV series….The Big C, where she plays a suburban mom diagnosed with cancer and learns to find the humor in her situation.
