If you’re into the illegal stuff, you might want to thank the bears! The AFP is reporting that Vancouver Police went on a recent marijuana raid in the woods in westernmost Canada when they were met by 14 wild black bears guarding an illegal marijuana crop.

They report,
“Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sergeant Fred Mansveld said police believe two growers arrested in the raid had used dog food to lure the animals onto the remote property in southeastern British Columbia, to deter marijuana thieves.

Police commonly find dogs, human guards or booby-traps on Canadian marijuana growing operations or “grow-ops.” In comparison, these bears did a very poor job as guard animals when five policemen arrived.

“They were tame, they just sat around watching… at one point one of the bears climbed onto the hood of a police car, sat there for a bit and then jumped off,” said Mansveld.

He said the officers involved in the July 30 raid were all familiar with wild animals, and while wary, were not afraid of the bears once they realized the animals were not aggressive.

Black bears are common throughout Canada, and except in the cases of mothers with cubs, usually live solitary lives in the wilderness. It is against provincial law to feed them.”

We’ve heard of some people liking their weed, but training bears to guard it… ridiculous?

Elijah Wood was decked out in a black suit with black Converse sneakers and blue sunglasses while arriving at Anna Paquin’s wedding with his girlfriend. Elijah also carried large black headphones and had a few white MAC computer cords. Elijah was rumored to have DJ’d the after-party for the wedding. He also had a laugh while gazing into the sky and viewing a couple of noisy paparazzi helicopters circling the wedding. We wonder if all this wedding fun tempted Elijah to have a wedding of his own soon???

Another religion filled blind for your Sunday. It sounds like a cliche, but this foreign born actor over 30 was booted from Catholic school as a boy for setting fire in the library after trying to light a joint. He has since donated a substantial amount of money to the school since he’s made his money. That isn’t too much of a secret. What is more hush-hush is that he claims he lost his V card and his heart to a young nun at the school.
