People Turn to Oprah For Help

A group of students who walked from Toronto, Canada to Chicago converged outside Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios to protest the Sri Lankan military’s use of force against the Tamil population, committing what they consider acts of genocide. The students carried signs that said “Oprah give us a voice” in hopes of getting the media personasality to take an interest in their situation and broadcast a segment about the situation in Sri Lanka.
