In honor of Irish rock band U2 who are playing a weeklong gig on “‘The Late Show with David Letterman,” Mayor Michael Bloomberg declared the stretch of 53rd Street that runs past the Ed Sullivan Theater “U2 Way” and had city workers hang a “U2 Way” sign on the lamp pole in New York City, New York yesterday. A day after the sign was clamped in place, city workers returned to the pole to place the U2 Way sign higher, fearing zealous U2 fans might steal the sign. Well, yeah – that’s the ultimate collector’s item, eclipsed only by the hair off of Bono’s head!

Bobby Trendy is Simply Stunning

We saw the always flamboyant, be-lipsticked designer Bobby Trendy out and about yesterday. Bobby, who made his name on the legendary Anna Nicole Show, was seen hanging out on Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles, California, as celebrities who crave the cameras are often wont to do. The Interior Designer to the Stars took his dog with him as he gave a very animated pose for the photographers. Cute puppy!

Katie is Plum Beat

Katie Holmes spent a long day yesterday shooting on the set of her film The Extra Man in New York City, New York. Katie sucked down several cups of coffee as she spent the day filming scenes both inside and outside in Manhattan. But by the end of the day, Katie looked tired and cold as she bundled up in a big coat. We are in love with the shot of Katie below. There’s something haunting and a little bit sad in it.

Claire Danes just recently announced her engagement to British star Hugh Dancy. So who the heck is this dude? The “Igby Goes Down” star was seen lunching with a mystery male companion as the two had a drink at Piccolo Ristorante Bar while they waited for their dry cleaning order to be finished in Beverly Hills, California. Claire Danes and her mystery male companion then headed to Gateway Cleaners. The couple didn’t mind strolling together in the light rain and seemed happy to do so. Who knows, maybe it’s a family member….

Update: The Dude is actor Devon Gummersall and he was a co-star with Claire Danes in “My So-Called Life”, A realistic mid-nineties teen drama series in 1994.

We snapped Octomom, Nadya Suleman in these Worldwide EXCLUSIVES!!! Nadya took a shopping trip sans kids to a Target in Norwalk, California. ‘Octomom’ Nadya spent nearly three hours in the store as she purchased numerous diapers and other baby care products.

If we were all honest with ourselves, we could admit we might do something similar. But would you do this: This B list Celeb in recognition but C list in work was at a party the other night. Our spy asked to borrow some aspirin from her and was told to look in her bag. When our spy did, she found the normal items a lady might have in there, except for this strange thing. The Celeb had a photo album inside stuffed full and spilling with every article of her ever printed in a magazine folded up and stashed inside. Also included in the album were the numbers of her google ranking for every month of the year.
