Bride Wars is surely set to be the lighthearted hit of early 2009, and how could it fail to draw in fans? Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are two of the most likable stars in H-town. While we profess a slight bias for Anne, we think that this severe black suit wasn’t fitting for the splash of a premiere for her new movie in New York City last night. Perhaps the possible Oscar nom is trying to appear more sedate. In either case, Kate nearly outshined her with the Oscar de la Renta gown. As always, we leave final judgment to you. Which Bride would you want to see at the end of the aisle? Kate or Anne?

Shenae’s Sushi Dinner

Shenae Grimes was all bundled up yesterday when we saw her leave Katsuya Sushi Restaurant after having dinner there last night in Los Angeles, California. Shenae looked happy to be greeted by fans outside the restaurant. She kindly signed a few autographs for them. We do have to wonder if that bulky sweater is to combat chilliness or to dispel more anorexia rumors.

J. Love is Single…Again.

It looks like it’s curtains for another celebrity – man, what is with all this post-holiday breaking up? Jennifer Love Hewitt has called it quits with her former fiance, Scotsman Ross McCall. People is reporting that friends of the couple are surprised about the break up. How could anyone be, in Hollywood?

Josh Has Arrived

No more Goonies for John Brolin! This has been the year of Josh’s Serious Acting Gigs, what with his critically acclaimed turn as George Bush in W. and in the films No Country for Old Men and Milk. Add that to the fact that Josh goes home to Diane Lane every night, and you’ve got a pretty lucky fella. So it’s no surprise that Josh was smiling when we saw him last night, arriving at the New York Film Critics Awards Dinner at Strata Lounge on Broadway in New York City, New York.

Bride War General Johnston

Kristen Johnston lost over 60 pounds a few months ago, and for awhile there she was looking quite unhealthily thin. But all that seems to have passed, as Kristen was looking much more healthy when we saw her last night. She was happy to show off her figure at the New York premiere of her latest film Bride Wars, co-starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.

The Herve Leger bandage dress has been a must-have in Hollywood this season, being spotted on everyone from Eva Longoria Parker, Victoria Beckham, Hayden Panettiere, Mariah Carey, and half of the cast from The Hills. And the bandage dress can be a stunning sight, though it leaves precious little room for anything but a perfectly toned body. We leave it to the reader to decide if Lisa Rinna has the bod to pull off this look in this foto.
