Canadian actress Rachel McAdams is always lovely, even if she’s all bundled up in a bulky sweater and black down vest. We caught the young lady carrying her laptop in a red soft case as she headed home after a day of filming Sherlock Holmes in Brooklyn, New York yesterday. No sign of Josh Lucas, whom Rachel is rumored to be dating!

Ty is a Beanie Baby

Man, we’re heard some first-hand gossip about Ty Pennington that would curl your toes. But we don’t want to spread nasty things about a nice guy who is on a show that helps people. Instead, here’s an EXCLUSIVE set of Ty as he took a stroll on trendy Robertson Blvd after having lunch with friends at the NewsRoom Cafe yesterday. We like the beanie that he’s rockin’ over there.

Lily of the London

Lily Allen is Britain’s very own wild child, though we think in West Hollywood she’d merely be small potatoes. No matter the case, Lily was on perfectly good behavior when we saw her yesterday, exiting the Cameo Club in London. Lily puffed away on a cancer stick as she left. There’s an article out today in which Lily admits to snogging a pair of identical female twins while visiting San Diego earlier this year. Again, small potatoes. That crap didn’t even get reported here! Lily was feeling shy as she left the club, and didn’t want to be photographed.

Oscar Nominations Are In!

In case you haven’t heard, the Oscar nominations came out yesterday, and there were actually a couple surprises, which was a nice change! Namely, Robert Downey Jr. for Tropic Thunder, which was a nice nod. Plus, we weren’t sure if Kate Winslet was going to get up for The Reader, but she’s there and we’re glad. It’s her year. We WILL pitch a fit though if Slumdog Millionaire gets jacked out of Best Picture. It deserves to win! Enjoy some fotos from the announcement ceremony yesterday!

Nicollette is Ugg-ified

Nicollette Sheridan has always marched to the beat of her own fashion drummer, and yesterday was no different. The Desperate stare wore an odd looking gigantic white scarf around her neck along with a pair of standard issue L.A. uniform – tan Ugg boots. We saw Nicollette as she was on her way into Madeo restaurant for lunch in Beverly Hills, California.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent a romantic evening at The Ivy last night – no, not the pap hideaway in West Hollywood. This is The Ivy in chilly London, England! The happy couple looked well-fed and a bit tired as they exited to their car among a throng of photographers.
