M is a Blessing For New York Nightlife!
Our fabulous photographer Justin Campbell is always at the scene to catch the opening of some of the most fashionable hotspots in New York. Such was the case as Justin attended the opening of “M” Restaurant. M is the brainchild of former MTV Japan and BET International VJ, Mami Shirakawa and Megu’s President, Hiro Nishida, and made it’s debut last Tuesday. The new posh diner took the place of the former Kimono Bar and has been developed as a post-dinner, pre-late night space, with the sweet spot hours ranging from 10:30pm-2pm. The place is set to serve some of the most authentic and creative Japanese Cuisine with top notch Chefs, artists, and designers.
Buzzfoto is a friend of Mami who is best known for her days as a leading VJ on MTV Japan and as the first non-African-American VJ to grace the airwaves on BET International. She has interviewed some of the world’s leading musicians ranging from U2’s Bono to the Beastie Boys and has solidified her status as an industryexpert. Mami is using her creative talents and connections to book some of the most popular DJ’s for the place.
Justin snapped Michelle Williams, of Destiny’s Child, who attended the event’s opening and partied till 12:00 am! The stars are already lining up to get into this place! We’re excited to have been part of such a big event and we’re sure we’ll be bringing you plenty more stories of the biggest celebs spending their evenings at M!
