Our Dinner With Jackie Fox
Last night we dined at Fabrocini’s in Bel Air with our friend Jackie Fox, the bass player of The Runaways. We laughed about the 30 years that had passed since we made this photograph in Jackie’s parents San Fernando Valley garden. The photo kind of looks like something from a David Lynch film. Thank goodness, we could not afford the roll of color film back then and made this one in black and white!

The Runaways were hugh in Japan in 1977!
When is the movie about The Runaways going to be out?
Where is Kim Fowley’s dog stink?
Is she an attorney now?
The Runaways were a great success in Japan, as the live record proved. Kim Fowley was, and maybe still is, a talented but bizzare character in rock and roll. I always though that Jackie was one of the more honest and sensitive members of The Runaways. I was heartbroken to hear that she did not play on the first album.
I think that Jackie now works as an assistant to entertainment lawyers in the music industry. I believe she went to school after her leaving the band. In Edgeplay, she is really still quite beautiful and honest in her segments.
Vickie Blue is a director, and has done some Playboy things, and did The Runaways story (Edgeplay) which is great aside from the fact that Joan Jett, as well as any original Runaways songs, are included.
Calling your band members “dog” this, and “dog” that, would be quite degrading to a 17 year old. Kim Fowley may be a genious, or, a pervert, or both, but he did bring us The Runwaways, so thanks for that anyway Kim.
