I Want to Be Like Common People

We really like Common, not just because he’s always been such a stand up guy to us. We like that he thinks about issues – he defended Barack Obama after the Rev. Wright scandal, since Common was a member of the same church. He’s also a committed vegan, and has supported HIV/AIDS awareness for some time. In fact, he has stopped using the n-word and all anti-gay slurs in his music. We think that’s brave and we applaud him! We saw Common at LAX a couple days ago, chatting away on his cell phone as he left the airport. Common was very friendly and probably would have had more to say to the paparazzi if he was not on an important phone call.
