A Couple of Elegies

Fashion Empress Donna Karan (creator of DKNY) arrives at the screening of ‘Elegy‘ hosted by the Cinema Society and Glamour at the Tribeca Grand hotel in New York City. The film is about a Cultural critic, David Kepesh who finds his life, which he indicates is a state of “emancipated manhood” — thrown into tragic disarray by Consuela Castillo, a well-mannered student who awakens a sense of sexual possessiveness in her teacher. Sounds provocative! Coincidently, Donna Karan called her pre-fall collection: “A Glamourous Elegy.”
