Chatty Pete Wentz!

Pete Wentz gave us an impromptu interview yesterday in L.A. after his driver got pulled over by the police. We guess that he got bored while all the red tape was getting sorted out, and Pete decided to entertain himself by giving the paparazzi a hint on his process for naming his Baby with Ashlee Simpson.

The police started by requesting to the paparazzi to give them room so that they could continue their investigation. The police feel uncomfortable being recorded with the paparazzi. The cops, however, could detain the driver only and allowed Pete to walk around. Pete told us that his record label does not pay for tickets when he gets pulled over. Bummer! He also stated that a CERTAIN gossip site pays for their paparazzi when they cross red lights, however, the paparazzi present denied that they cross red lights.

He mentioned that Little Wayne is the only one selling records. The thing that he hates the most about not being able to sell records, is that he cannot promote the record at all. Pete stated that since records are no longer being sold, than he has to come up with a new way of marketing. His thoughts are that he would name his new record John Smith and therefore name his baby John Smith so that they would both be advertised together, therefore doing a double package deal. Wow, what a great idea – we’re SURE that Ashlee will be all over that one. Very funny, Pete.

He talked about not knowing anything about USC and though that it was called KFC and he was ready to order some chicken. He was asked about Madonna and A-rod. He stated that the last thing he knows about Madonna is Like a Virgin. Afterwards he confessed that he doesn’t feel that he is in a band anymore, since all he does is shop and get asked about his baby. Such is fame, Pete.

Pete then wanted to talk to the police to see if they would put handcuffs on him and put him in the back of the squad car so that the paparazzi would get good shots…how sweet of Pete to think of us! However, the police did not comply. He said that we need to start making the free Pete Wentz Shirts. The police then escorted them to the Ren-Mar Studios out of sight from the paparazzi.
