Front Row Seat In Life!

Just to be fair to Pete Townsend, we will publish his photograph on this page too. When we were growing up and listening to The Who we never imagined that we could ever meet Pete Townsend or for that matter, have our foto taken with him.

You got to understand that thirty years ago, when this photograph was taken, the access to top celebrities was so much easier than today. One photographer or agency could not control the scene. There were dozens of players and we all got along. We had mentors and it was all part of the learning curve.

Nothing like today, where the industry is all corporate and there is a publicist with a clipboard and a walkie talkie to stop your every creative move.

We can not imagine any event photographer having any fun today. It must be an incredible bore and that is evidenced with the photos we see coming out of these choreographed affairs.
