Is This An Iconic Couple?

We just do not get it. What is the fascination with this boring couple? Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson totally lack any semblance of style or flair. Just a big zero.

They were out today visiting a friend in West Hollywood. Are we being a bit too hard on them?
