In this particular case, getting it tight does not mean getting it right, because Melanie “Mel B” Brown got it all wrong in this gold dress that she wore to the BET Awards After Party at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. The dress is way too tight and the color is too close to her own skin tone to create any real contrast and interest for the eye. And the string of pearl or whatever around the neck reminds us of what party girls used to do in college when they wanted to class things up a little. But it never worked – a party is always a party girl at heart.
