There Is Always A Party!
This foto of Rod Stewart was one of the first photographs of him with Swedish model and actress Britt Ekland. There were one or two sets of the couple before this one and all of the British newspapers were screaming for more fotos! Rod’s press agent at the time was an incredibly colorful and delightful guy named Tony Toon and he loved to tip off the press with gossip about all of Rod’s latest romances.
The foto was taken in 1976 at a Lynyrd Skynyrd party held at the Greyhound bus station in Hollywood. Yes, back then the PR was always trying to find a cute location to throw a party and the media loved it. What we learned back in the day was that after a concert, no matter what the PR, record company or the roadies said, there was always a party after the gig!
