The Beverly Wilshire Hotel

One of our longtime favorite places to hang out for dinner and drinks is the Beverly Wilshire Hotel right on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Drive. We kind of grew up there as a matter of fact.

Our good friend, Hernando Courtright’s father owned the hotel so were in and out of the place all the time. Seeing celebrities was no big deal back then. We would see Warren Beatty, who had his apartment across from Hernando’s and of course there was the time that we saw Gretta Garbo eating cake in their coffee shop, The Pink Turtle. Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon could not stay away from The Wilshire.

Hernando’s father sold the hotel years ago and now we are have stars like Tom Cruise and Britney Spears as regulars there. Britney was there last night and here is the photo. We miss those wonderful years and great stars, but the photo business must continue for the next generation of Paparazzi. Wonderful photo Mr. Nunez, you are our next generation!
