A Shy Jessica Simpson Shops At Barney’s New York In Beverly Hills

Barney’s New York is one of Hollywood’s favorite hang outs. It is Katie Holmes home away from home and Jessica Simpson is their a few times a week. Today, Jessica arrived with her usual entourage of pap’s in tow. Security rushed her into the store, to avoid having her photo taken. Every so often a sales person would bring out the purchases and place them in the trunk of her Range Rover parked in front of the store. Photographers started lining up across the street waiting for Jessica to finish shopping and go home. Well, she shopped and shopped and shopped. Close to 3 hours of shopping. That could be a record!

Word got around that Jessica was in Beverly Hills and more pap “troops” arrived. At one point there were close to 50 paparazzi waiting for Jessica to emerge. Barney’s New York got so paranoid that the photographers would get out of hand that they called the police. Don’t know what was said, but a squad car arrived and a police helicopter started circling the photographers overhead. When it was ascertained that it was photographers and those were not guns but cameras, the police felt they could leave and SWAT was not needed. Just to be on the safe side to protect their celebrity client, they pulled Jessica’s Range Rover into the garage and she made a quiet but hasty exit past the tired and very bored photographers.
